The Lens on the Lens..

Over the course of the life of SociaLens, i will be reflecting on our journey here in this series of posts.  I have three groups of people i hope this will benefit:

Our Clients:

If you are a client, through these posts, i hope to transparently provide a glimpse of who we are, what we do to serve you (even when not “on the clock”), and the struggles and victories that together enable us to provide excellent products and services to you.  Through this transparency, i also hope to provide an example of what you might do or not do (hopefully much more of the former than the latter) to promote effective transparency in your own organizations.

The Academic Community:

If you are a member of the academic world who is fascinated with and/or mystified by business and how they start and operate, i hope that these blog posts will help to de-mystify the business of business, and perhaps even inspire some of  you to consider creating similar joint academic/commercial entities which will put your excellent academic minds into close, mutually-beneficial, dialectical relationship with practical concerns.  Learn from our successes and from our mistakes.  I will do my best to share both.

The SociaLens Team:

Organizations must continually adapt.  Adaptation requires learning.  Learning requires reflection.  This series of blog posts will be one of the many ways that we as an organization will self-reflect, learn and adapt.
